Billy McConnell to get some R&R following minor operation

Well, OMG managed to sneak him out the hospital before Round 3, but unfortunately Billy McConnell will be sitting out Pirelli National Superstock 1000 action at Donington Park as he recovers from a small operation on his appendix (or lack there-of).

Billy felt like he’d gone twelve rounds with our tyre technician/Thai kickboxer Daz at Oulton Park, and had to spend a tough few days in a hospital bed with limited top speed and the anti-wheelie set to full.

All joking aside, neither OMG nor the mighty Bill enjoy being off the bike. But Billy’s health is the team’s number one priority and so every precaution is being taken to ensure he’s all well and ready to give 100 percent as soon as possible.

Billy’s bike won’t be at Donington (we think he’s sharing the bed with it at the moment, who could blame him? It is a stunner after all.)

Billy hopes to be there on Sunday to join in on the pitwalk, meet plenty of OMG fans and do Luke’s hair pre-race.
